Working with Extent Heritage, we led a project evaluating if Glendalough Monastic Site should be included on Ireland's World Heritage tentative list. This was a key stage in the site's possible designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Client: Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage
Provided strategic conservation management advice on this internationally important landscape. The aim was to create a pathway that permitted the needs of key stakeholders to be satisfied while still protecting the site's heritage values and incorporating climate change measures. We created a conference and advisory document focusing on how historic towns could react to the challenge of climate change by reducing emissions and reorientating their economy. Client: The Heritage Council
We assisted the people of Kells, Co. Meath in their efforts to regenerate their town by running a regeneration seminar, writing the subsequent regeneration report and assisting in obtaining much of the funds necessary to carry out its actions. Client: Meath County Council and Kells Local Heroes
The report involved evaluating the economic, legal and ethical feasibility of conducting a seasonal archaeological excavation at the Medieval Mile Museum, Kilkenny. Client: Kilkenny Civic Trust
Working with various suppliers and the local community, we designed and project managed the installation of a suite of signage and insert paving for a new park in Callan, Co. Kilkenny. Client: Kilkenny County Council
